For anyone who has ever been on Pinterest, you understand how haphazard and mind-boggling this new social media platform can be. Not to mention how time-consuming it is to use the online bulletin board most effectively. But despite all its eccentricities, Pinterest is one of the fastest-growing social sites. And although we’re still getting started, we’ve identified five health/wellness media publications you should follow on Pinterest.
The health, happiness, wellness, food, and green living magazine has a wide array of boards that will undoubtedly compel you to blend a green smoothie for breakfast and pull out your yoga mat! While there are several boards to inspire you to eat healthily for each meal of the day, Whole Living’s innovative week 1 – 4 action plan boards has us swooning.
Yoga Journal is a wonderful resource for yogis on Pinterest. If you’re ever lost at the sanskrit for a certain asana, check out the yoga pose folder for guidance. Looking to challenge yourself in your yoga practice? We recommend that you look into the Challenge Pose folder. Boasting of 2091 followers, the board includes some especially daunting yoga poses demonstrated by LA based yoga instructor and YJ blogger Kathryn Budig.
fitsugar’s profile description says it all: Healthy happy you. With over 30 boards to look at, we recommend “inspirational fitness quotes” board if you’re in need of some motivation to hit the ground running.
Follow SHAPE for the latest in health, fitness, beauty and fashion news. SHAPE has boards both for fitness and fashion swag as well as several boards that will make for an inspired work out routine. Check out “Get Fit in 2012″ and “Success Stories.”
Women’s Health magazine wants you to look and feel great. This publication not only pins a wealth of inspirational fitness images but also contains a board dedicated solely to work out videos as well.
We hope you enjoyed these publications as much as we do. Happy pinning! You can follow NAB Communities on Pinterest as well. What are your favorite publications on Pinterest?

What’s funny for me about Pinterest is that a friend of mine tried to get me to pay attention to it for a few months before I finally signed up, and now, I’m totally addicted. Courtney, if you read this, you deserve all the credit on turning me on to pinning!
Women’s Health is one of my favorite publications to follow! They always post these great weekend challenges that are deceptively easy.
