I don’t know about all of you, but Thanksgiving Day in my household is usually filled with so much cooking, banging pots and pans, and anticipation for the big dinner that lunch consists of little more than a slice of pumpkin pie or leftovers from the day before. This year, that may all change dramatically due to my discovery of Café Gratitude’s annual Free Thanksgiving Meal. An event that operates entirely on volunteer efforts, the free Thanksgiving meal is a way for Café Gratitude to give back to and share abundance with their customers and the community. This year, they will be serving an all new menu consisting of traditional steamed butternut squash tamale with a pecan and persimmon salad and cranberry salsa and a chocolate macaroon! Between 12pm and 3pm on Thanksgiving, you will be able to enjoy the deliciousness at three Café Gratitude locations, listed below.
