Earlier this month, renowned author and clairvoyant Patricia Cori was featured on SeaShepherd.org for her exceptional accomplishments as a member of their “Whale Warrior” fundraising team, who support the Sea Shepherd efforts in stopping illegal whaling worldwide. Since she joined the Whale Warriors program earlier this Summer, Cori has not only exceeded her original goal of $3,000, but almost met her new goal of $6,000! Below is an exclusive Whale Warrior interview with Cori, featuring an excerpted poem from her latest book, Before We Leave You: Messages from the Great Dolphin and Whale Beings.
1)Â Â Â How did you first find out about Sea Shepherd and how long have you been a Sea Shepherd supporter?
I have been dedicated to Sea Shepherd for many years, and have always rallied people to donate to you on my interviews, radio show and in workshops I teach around the world. I don’t even remember when I first heard of you but it surely was enhanced when I saw the first Whale Wars program.
2)Â Â Â Why do you love Sea Shepherd?
Without the oceans, without the music of the Cetaceans, everything dies. You walk your talk, risking your lives every day, and for this I am so grateful and I remind people that you are our warriors, our heroes. The least we can do is reach into our pockets and come forward with whatever we can spare to help you help the oceans.
3)   What’s your favourite marine animal?
As for favourite marine mammals – I can’t really say any one species is more magnificent that any other which is why I travel to Mexico to see the grey whales birthing in Magdalena Bay, to Cabo San Lucas to see the Humpbacks migrating north and to Canada to see the breathtaking Orcas. And just now, I am in the Azores, a place rich in many different species of whales and dolphins.
4)Â Â Â Why should everyone support Sea Shepherd?
As I said above, we need to rally enormous numbers of people to support you – without you, fighting the wars others only speak about, I truly believe the whales are doomed. So you have me devoted and I will continue to raise funds for you and continue to awaken people to your great work.
I will go to the ends of the Earth for you
Brave the wildest ocean waves
The cold
The fear
The unknown
I will stand for you against the blindest of men
Against those
Who won’t care
When you’re gone
If just for a whisper of your song
Or the grace of your leaps from the sea
To feel the love
Your light
The majesty
I will forever search for you
And live to set you free.
My dream
Is to live to see you free

Further Reading: Before We Leave You is not your average “Save the Dolphins and Whales” book. Patricia Cori was giving a lecture in Jordan in November 2008 when she suddenly heard a choir of voices calling to her for help. As a gifted clairvoyant most well-known for her books of channeled teachings from the Sirian High Council, Cori was no stranger to receiving these sorts of messages, but this time, they came from a different source: she was receiving channeled messages not from the Universe, but from dolphins and whales.
As she continued to receive new messages from the Cetaceans, Cori learned that dolphins and whales are far more important to the Earth and the universe than most even realize. More than just a vital part of the ocean’s delicate ecosystem, the Cetaceans and their beautiful song are necessary to our solar system’s ascension process. Without the Cetaceans, we risk the advancement that our planet, and humanity, so desperately need in these tense times of great imbalance. Before We Leave You offers an important and timely road map from the Cetaceans themselves to achieving true global transformation. Sea Shepherd sounds like a great organization. It’s nice to see people joining together to help save our oceans.
Couldn’t agree more. Have you seen Whale Wars?
Whales are food too. All the Sea Shepherd do is manipulate xenophobia and prejudice to sell junk on the Discovery channel.
Demonizing sustainable minority food cultures is not environmentalism it’s hate mongering and doing it for cash and branding is heinous.
As for the self-promoting “clairvoyant”: she fits right in with the idiotic hippies.
Marine mammals are part of the human food chain. Get over it and move on.
The Sea Shepherd are just more consumerism and part of the problem.
See, I have to politely disagree, RadicalOmnivore. I am an omnivore myself, but I don’t think that we have much excuse to eat endangered species, given the world’s continued population growth of humans vs. the diminishing populations of many of the animals that we consume. The one point I could maybe agree on though is that I would like to see Sea Shepherd do more in the way of aiding whalers in finding an alternative, more sustainable source of income. That said, while it is a sole source of income for some, that doesn’t make it OK. Whales occupy an important part of the delicate ocean ecosystem. I’d like to hear a better suggestion on how you can protect both the whale population and the whaling industry.
You manage to put an astounding amount of misinformation and uninformed rot in one post. No current whaling around the world is endangering the species. Period. Do your own research from organizations that aren’t trying to bilk suckers out of cash or sell soap on TV.
If endangered species was really what this entertainment product was really all about we’d be assaulting the every local fish counter in our high streets. We’re not. That would be too close to home and it’s much easier and endlessly more lucrative to peddle xenophobia and hate mongering on foreigners eating “exotic” species.
This kind of puddle deep thinking in the middle of a global food diversity crisis is stunningly ignorant and counter productive.
As for the faux-concern about whalers’ livelihoods spare us. Every dollar contributed to Sae Shepherd is another Pork Belly, another tree felled and another hole dug. It’s called consumerism and you’ve been sold.
You are the product and this is the end result: http://bit.ly/bZOGMT
It AIN’T environmentalism and it sure as heck isn’t conservation. It’s lucrative hate mongering. Yuppie approved and with a lot of shiny hollywood friends but it’s still hate mongering.
Leave the world’s sustainable minority food cultures in peace or at the very least get informed.
Can you provide me with links to studies that prove that whales aren’t endangered? I’ve never heard a scientist (not someone from Greenpeace, but an actual Marine Biologist and/or Oceanographer) say otherwise.
RadicalOmnivore:
You’re clearly passionate about this topic, but I’m afraid you’re mistaken about the endangerment of the species. Japanese research whaling regularly targets and kills species of whales that have already been nearly deleted from our planet.
Japanese research whaling, while setting most of its annual quota to target minkes whales, regularly kills sei, humpback, and other whales as well. Please see: http://www.iwcoffice.org/conservation/permits.htm#jarpn
Both of these aforementioned species are listed as endangered under both the US Endangered Species Act.
Humpbacks: http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/species/mammals/cetaceans/humpbackwhale.htm
Sei: http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/species/mammals/cetaceans/seiwhale.htm
As a matter of proof, the whale meat that brought down the Los Angeles restaurant “The Hump” in 2010 had been smuggled in from whalers engaged in this operation, and after DNA sequencing, was revealed to be meat from an endangered sei whale.
