A New Approach in the Fight Against Cancer

Conventional cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation, are emotionally, financially, and especially physically draining. Side effects like hair loss, fatigue, and nausea have left patients wondering if there are any alternatives. In their new book, Fighting Cancer, authors Robert Gorter, MD, PhD and Erik Peper, PhD say that there are.

Fighting Cancer describes the Gorter Model, an integrative, nontoxic approach to cancer treatment that mobilizes and enhances the immune system. This revolutionary book offers many useful and effective practices proven to improve one’s quality of life and support their immune system in the fight against cancer (with none of the negative side effects of more toxic treatment). Useful for people who have been diagnosed or people who are simply concerned that they may be at risk, Fighting Cancer lets individuals choose the direction their treatment takes.

When asked what inspired them to write this book, Gorter and Peper had this to say: “From daily experience and by questions from patients and their loved ones, we noticed that there is a tremendous need for more knowledge about early and non-toxic treatment of cancer. It was then clear that there is a tremendous need for a book like this one.” Both authors are cancer survivors and bring first-hand experience to emotionally and physically coping with the disease. After a successful recovery from far-advanced testicular cancer through non-toxic treatment without the use of chemotherapy or radiation, Dr. Gorter founded The Medical Center Cologne, dedicated to the treatment of cancer using immune supportive therapies. Erik Peper was instrumental in establishing the Institute for Holistic Health Studies at San Francisco State University, the first holistic health program at a public university in the U.S.
