This week, people all over the world will be able to witness the awe-inspiring glimmers of the Perseid meteor shower. Expected to peak late Thursday night, the Perseid showers are especially fun to witness as they are unusually bright, as the moonlight won’t be washing out the streaks of light of the meteors coursing through the galaxy.
As spectators gather to take in the universe’s natural fireworks and light show, events like meteor showers offer a visible reminder to people that there are worlds beyond Earth, galaxies outside of the milky way, and so much mystery still left unexplored in the great wilderness of the universe. For a deeper understanding of our own connection with this wild, untamed world beyond our planet, first comes the recognition of the vast perspectives, studies, and evolving theories about what’s really out there, and perhaps more importantly, how we relate to it all.
Here are a few books to help guide you in an exploration of the space we occupy, on earth and beyond:
Beyond the Matrix collects some of the most provocative, forward-thinking interviews conducted on channeling expert and Spirit Movement leader Patricia Cori’s radio show of the same name, bringing together leaders in various fields of alternative thinking to propose new and exciting perspectives on the future of humanity. The book features no-holds-barred, in-depth interviews with such renowned thinkers as New York Times best-selling author and theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, whom many call the Einstein of our times; respected UFO and ET investigator Stanton Friedman; radical Egyptologist Stephen Mehler; former astronaut and the sixth man on the moon Dr. Edgar Mitchell; crop circle expert Andy Thomas; intuitive physicist MaAnna Stephensen; Paradigm Research Group director Stephen Bassett; founder of bluevoice.org Hardy Jones; and nine others.

Embryos, Galaxies, and Sentient Beings: How the Universe Makes Life
Why is the universe conscious? What kindles mind inside matter? Why do fundamentalist sciences and religions never ask these questions? This sequel to Embryogenesis from author Richard Grossinger explores many theoretical issues, including the relationship between thermodynamics/entropy and the emergence of life; a speculative set of embryogenic principles for all creatures on all planets in the cosmos; an explanation and critique of Intelligent Design and a proposal for a more dynamic psychospiritual theory of creature development; a series of alternatives to genetic determinism; a discussion of the relationship between consciousness, and more.
Nothing in This Book Is True, But It’s Exactly How Things Are, 15th Anniversary Edition
by Bob Frissell
Nothing in This Book Is True, But It’s Exactly How Things Are is an account of humankind’s function within the grand celestial battle between internal and external knowledge. Author Bob Frissell gives a compelling account of our planetary ascent into higher consciousness, presenting a big-screen view of the Earth through the experience of the Ascended Masters. Frissell proposes both a core transdimensional shift based on the Mayan calendar and a personal Rapture mediated through the connected, affirmed breaths of rebirthing that his teacher Melchizedek used to travel from the other side of the universe to here—breathing your own spacecraft (merkaba) out of and around your aura in order to travel through the astral realms.
The Martian Codex: More Reflections from Mars
by George J. Haas and William R. Saunders
The Martian Codex begins with a review of the thirty-year history of documenting the famous “Face on Mars” landform from NASA’s first photographs in 1976 to the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter’s HiRISE shots in 2007. Detailed analysis shows it as a split-faced structure that precisely resembles a set of masks from a temple in Cerros, Mexico. Part two provides additional examples of two-faced and composite structures all over the red planet. Haas and Saunders explore a series of recurring motifs by providing side-by-side views of the Martian geoglyphs with their terrestrial pre-Columbian counterparts. The results substantiate a commonality between two worlds in that both depict specific gods and characters from the creation mythology of the Mayan people, as recorded in the sacred Popol Vuh. This fact-based book represents the most persuasive argument yet that extraterrestrials may indeed have appeared on Earth during an earlier era.
Crop Circles: the Bones of God
How does mankind deal with miracles? This question has assumed a more-than-theoretical importance in the life of Michael Glickman, who has been witnessing the miraculous on a regular basis since he investigated his first crop circle in 1990. In the years since then, an intensive study of the crop-circle phenomenon in the region of its most important appearances—the English countryside—has given Glickman extraordinary personal insight into a subject usually known only through secondhand reports and speculation. This beautifully illustrated mix of personal narrative with detailed study informs a larger discussion of the role of crop circles in the modern world and their unprecedented promise of new chapters in the history of consciousness.
