Awaken to Healing Fragrance was recently praised by Gabriel Cousens, author of Conscious Eating, Spiritual Nutrition, and There Is a Cure for Diabetes and director of Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center and Foundation:
“Awaken to Healing Fragrance is a very deep holistic approach to healing on every level. I particularly appreciate Elizabeth Jones’s emphasis on the spiritually activating energy of essential oils. This book helps to elevate our awareness of the physical, emotional, mental, and angelic gift of these oils.”

Elizabeth Anne Jones is a pioneer, leading educator, healer, formulator, and advocate of using therapeutic essential oils for integrative medicine. She has an extensive educational background from Skidmore College, University of California, Berkeley, and the California School of Herbal Studies. She has studied with top aromatherapists around the world including Marcel Lavabre, Kurt Schnaubelt, Pierre Franchomme, Robert Tisserand, and John Steele.
Jones has run a private aromatherapy practice for more than twenty-five years, and, with her husband, chemist Lawrence Jones, owns Elizabeth Van Buren, Inc., a company that manufactures high quality essential oil products for practitioners, spas, hospitals, massage schools, hospices, and nurses.
In 1997 she founded the College of Botanical Healing Arts in Santa Cruz, California, and has served as director and primary instructor since then. The college is a state-approved nonprofit with a 400-hour program to graduate essential oils practitioners. It is one of only a few schools in the United States that offers a comprehensive program of live classes.
Working on the education committee of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA), Jones helped to regulate the standards of aromatherapy education in the U.S. She has been a frequent speaker at northern California hospices, colleges, health conferences, and aromatherapy conferences. In addition, she wrote the definitive entry on aromatherapy for alt.MD.com, and was a contributor to the anthology The World of Aromatherapy, edited by Jeanne Rose and Susan Earle.
