A vision granted to Elwood with the bite of a magical plum reveals his sacred mission: recover the eye of Ogin, a sacred shell with powers to reveal Granashon’s secret location, and restore peace to a troubled land. With the help of his new friend, the beautiful young warrior Drallah, and her trusty talking raven companion Booj, he braves quicksand and monsters, survives deadly poison ivy, and battles a demons and kings, in search of Granashon the Nohar. As he trudges through a treacherous swamp where the eye of Ogin is buried, Elwood uncovers a gut-wrenching secret about his ties to the world of Ehm, and his real distance from the world he previously knew as home.
Author Patrick Doud is a published poet and novelist residing in Gloucester, Massachusetts with a BA in English Literature from Bard College. He currently has three published books of poetry, including The Man in Green, with an introduction by Kenneth Irby. Though The Hunt for the Eye of Ogin is his first fantasy novel, his love of the genre has continuously informed his writing from an early age.
